Users can use a custom step (tread) inside the system component, Ship Ladder
There are two custom steps available in both the US Imperial and US Metric environments

First, you need to open up one of the custom steps.
- Make the desired changes to the custom component.
- Save your changes accordingly. Then close this dialog box.

To utilize a custom step inside Ship Ladder, do the following:
- Set the Custom option to Yes.
- Set the Part name field to the custom step you modified above. Then, in the Attribute file field, set the attribute you saved in step 2 above.

Either Apply the above setting to create a new ship ladder or Modify a ship ladder in your model.
