Question:
I need to move my assembly drawings from one multi-drawing to another. I have already linked them to a multi-drawing so the assembly numbers have been changed to multi-numbers. How do I clear the multi-numbers of the assemblies so that I can link them to a different multi-drawing and have them take that multi-number?

Answer:
Here are the steps you need to follow;
  1. Open up the Drawing List
  2. Select the Multi-Drawing(s) in need of change or individual Assembly drawing(s) that you want to move to another sheet.
  3. Click the 'Select Objects' button on the right side of the Drawing list
  4. Go to Drawings & Reports menu > Change number > Clear assembly numbers
  5. Again, go to Drawings & Reports menu > Numbering settings > Numbering settings and make sure that 'Re-use old numbers' is checked
  6. Again, go to Drawings & Reports menu > Perform numbering > Number modified objects
  7. The Drawing List should update to include 3 types of drawings
    • Assembly with 'Cloned' flag - > These are your new drawings
    • Assembly with 'Quantity decreased' flag -> upon Update these become Obsolete (All parts deleted)
    • Multi-drawing(s) with 'Linked drawing changed' flag
  8. Delete all the obsolete drawings
  9. Update & Open up the Multi-Drawing and delete all the Assemblies (or the individual one(s) you are removing from this sheet)
  10. Close, Save, and ReOpen Multi-Drawing
  11. Select the Assembly drawings from the Drawing list that you want to re-add to this Multi-drawing if applicable. Upon added them, they will take Multi numbers associated to this Multi-drawing.
  12. Open up another Multi-drawing and add the Assembly drawing(s) that you removed from the first Multi-drawing. Upon added them, they will take Multi numbers associated to this Multi-drawing.
