How to create rebars with the U bars (63) component?

Question:
I have difficulties creating rebars with U bars (63). How to use this component?

Answer:
In this component, you need to select existing reinforcing bars. You should not select the concrete part itself. In the example below, the slab reinforement is created with the Slab bars (18) component, but you can also use some other rebar component or manually add reinforcing bars. The most typical example would be to create edge rebars with Edge and Corner Reinforcement (62) and then use the U bars (63) component to add U bars to some edges. Component (62) contains U bars, but it will add them to all edges. With (63) you can add them only to the selected edge.
To use the component:

Make sure that you have Select objects in components selected.
Select existing longitudinal rebars along the concrete part edge in the model.
If you need to select another rebar, hold down the Ctrl key when clicking the rebar in the model.

Click the middle mouse button to create the component.

Note also that the type of the reinforcing bars should be Tie or stirrup and the radius should be suitable for the situation.
