Question:

I need to compare two IFC models, which were originally Tekla Structures models. We tried using Reference Model Properties dialog options Show – New file, Old file and Changed, but Changed and Unchanged do not work with these models. How can I compare the models?

Tekla Structures uses the GUIDs to compare models. When performing a Save As, Tekla Structures warns “When saving model with a different name, identifiers of all objects will be different from those of the original model.” If you need to make a copy of the model and plan to compare the two, you should copy the model folder and rename the other.
