In this article you will learn how to display the analysis (Moment, shear, deflection) results for 2-way slabs.

Ensure a design has been undertaken so we have analysis results to look at.

Either run;
  • Analyse ribbon > Analyse group > Analyse All (Static) command
  • Design ribbon > Analysis & Design Concrete group > Design Concrete (Gravity) or (Static) command
  • Design ribbon > Analysis & Design group > Design All (Gravity) or (Static) command

This ensures we have results to review.

Results Type

The building analysis type (1st or 2nd-order) run during the analysis/design is automatically selected at the top of the Result type drop list.

By default slabs are replaced with diaphragms when an analysis is performed. This means that you will not see contour plots if the slab is not included in the analysis.

See the related article for details "When should I use the "Mesh 2-way slabs in 3D analysis" option?" shown to the right hand side.
  • Slab contour results will always be included in the FE Chasedown analysis

  • Slab contour results will also exist under the 1st-order, 2nd-order analysis results if the Level Property "Mesh 2-way Slabs in the 3D Analysis" are included.
