How do I override the Cpe & Cpi values for a wind zone?Answer
There is no dominant opening command in Tekla Structural Designer, however, you can edit the Cpe and Cpi values of the wind zones.To do this follow the steps below:
Create the wind model
- Ensure your model has wall and roof panels defined and run the Load ribbon > Wind Load group > Wind Wizard... command
- Create wind loadcases via the Load ribbon > Wind Load group > Wind Loadcases command
- Open a Wind view and display the Zone loads. You will need to have a wind loadcase selected in the load case drop list.

Edit the Cpi value of a zone
- Click to select a zone in the model and in the Properties window you can untick the “Default” property which will allow you to override the Cpi value

Edit the Cpe values
- As shown in the pictures below; right-click over a Roof or Wall panel in the Project Workspace > Wind Model tree and choose the option Edit Zones... from the context menu
- Uncheck the "Std." (Standard) check box for the zone(s) you wish to edit - you can then enter your own value(s) of Cpe
- Repeat for other panels/ Wind directions as required.
