Question:

Why fitting sometimes disappears when splitting a part?

Answer:

If the fitting points are too far from part end point, they are not included to the splitted part. Tekla system components usually make fittings so that at least two of the fitting points are on the part, and the fitting will remain on splitted part. But manually made fittings might have points too far away. The maximal distance of fitting points is relative to the length of split, so the shorter the split, the closer the fitting points should be.

The fitting in the blue beam B/2 will be included in the splitted beam, but the fitting in red beam B/1 will not be included, because the two lower points of the fitting are too far away from part end.
