 Question: When I click on the 'Get results', error  'Failed to load dynamic link library c:\SProV8i\OpenSTAAD\staadread.dll' is displayed

Answer:

Before installing the link, STAAD.Pro V8i should be installed to C:\SProV8i - not to the default STAAD.pro installation folder.

If link doesn't work correctly, follow the steps below

1. Go to C:\SProV8i\OpenSTAAD, run "regsvr32.exe OpenSTAAD.dll" (in Admin mode in Windows 7)
2. Take a backup copy of C:\SProV8i\OpenSTAAD\staadRead.dll and staadread.tbl
3. Copy staadRead.dll and staadread.tbl from C:\TeklaStructures\TS_STAAD\OpenSTAAD --> C:\SProV8i\OpenSTAAD, this replaces SProV8i files with the files from TS_STAAD link

If more than one version of STAAD.pro are installed on the same computer, you will first need to remove the STAAD link, and then uninstall all versions of STAAD.Pro from the computer. Then follow the instructions above.
