Answer
This issue often occurs after updating Windows or due to a problem with the Tedds installation. In most cases, repairing the Tedds installation will resolve the issue. Please ensure all instances of Tedds and Tedds for Word are closed before attempting to do this, and follow the instructions below:
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (NOT "Add or remove programs").
- Locate the Tekla Tedds components in the list. There should be three: Tekla Tedds, Tekla Tedds 64-bit, and Tekla Tedds Engineering Library.
- Right-click on the first component and select Repair (or Modify)*. Allow the installer to complete and close.
*Note: You may need administrative privileges to complete this step. If so, please contact your internal IT for assistance. - Repeat step 3 for each Tedds component.
- Finally, relaunch Tedds and try running a calculation from the Engineering Library.
