Empty model sharing change list or reference model side pane

Question:
We have got reports from some customers using Tekla Structures 2022 that their Changes list (model sharing) or Reference Models side pane appears blank. There is just weird search box in top left corner and small buttons in the bottom right corner.

However, everything appears correct and the changes appear in the model. In the reference model side pane also commands like Add model and New group commands work fine, but the list of models does not show up. Also properties side pane might be affected.

Answer:

This was caused by old versions of some side pane extensions, such as UDA List and Reports Side Pane. To solve the problem, remove these extensions through Extension manager and download newer extension versions from Warehouse and install them.

If you are unable to uninstall extensions from extension manager you can try manually deleting the extension:

  • \ProgramData\Trimble\Tekla Structures\2022.0\Environments\common\extensions\Features\<ExtensionName>\
  • \ProgramData\Trimble\Tekla Structures\2022.0\Extensions\Installed\<{ExtensionName {ver} {guid}>
