Deleting a node from analysis model
Question:
When creating analysis model, Tekla Structures creates node for each member intersection. Is there any way to exclude some intersections? In the attached example I want to delete the node 15.
Answer:
You can delete manually added nodes by selecting the node and using the Delete command from the right-click menu. But deleting an automatically created node is not possible directly. You can for example merge nodes or change the analysis member properties so that the node gets deleted.
In this article we change the analysis member properties. Both diagonal analysis members have Class selected to be Beam, which creates a node between members automatically. When you change diagonal analysis member Class to Beam -Truss or Bracing - Truss, then the middle node disappears between diagonals.
