Decimals of bolt size in drawings

Tekla Structures - Not version-specific DIAMETER attribute
Environment
Not environment-specific

Question:
How can I get the hole and bolt sizes with decimals in drawings?

Answer:
All mark elements are controlled in the contentattributes_global.lst file under ../TeklaStructures/<version>/nt/bin/TplEd/settings (for 2022 and newer the path changed to ../TeklaStructures/<version>/bin/applications/Tekla/Tools/TplEd/settings) folder. Bolt size is generated from DIAMETER attribute, which by default does not have decimals in all environments.

You should not modify the original contentattributes_global.lst file, but you can copy the contentattributes.lst file from your environment folder (../TeklaStructures/environments/<your_environment>/template) to your model folder and add the DIAMETER definition at the end of the file and change the decimals value to the required number of decimals. This way you can change the decimals for current model only. See the example at the end of the following article: Unit settings for marks.
