Cut on surface treatment

Question:
I made a plate with an inner cut and created surface treatment to the face of the plate using Cut by father part. The surface treatment is cut only if I have a surface thickness less than 2.5 mm. Why?
Answer:
This happens because the original cut is not thick enough. The cut also disappears if you increase plate thickness. As the plate is 10 mm and the cut is 15 mm and the position is in the middle, the cut is working 2,5 mm on both sides of the plate.
You can adjust the advanced option XS_POLYGON_CUT_EXTRA_THICKNESS (under Modeling Properties) to make cuts thicker by default when they are created. You can also change an individual cut part to be thicker.
