Question:
How can I check that my sketched profile is correct?
Answer:
Make the sketched profile as simple as you can, and do not repeat dimensions. You should avoid redundancy in the geometry definitions. Use the minimum satisfactory and at the same time maximum number of dependencies.
Once the lines are vertically, horizontally or perpendicularly constrained, there is no need to define the distance at both ends of the profile. Tekla Structures adds constraints by itself also when a line is almost vertical or horizontal.
It is worth to check the Sketch Browser: go through the lines and chamfers one by one, and see if they are highlighted in the sketch. If not, then something is wrong. Try to delete the redundant objects from the Sketch Browser by right clicking. If you cannot delete them, it is better to start the sketching from the beginning.
