Changing or removing RD mark on running dimensions

Depending on your detailing standards, you may want to have something other than the 'RD' text that is given at the beginning of a running dimension. This text is controlled by a language file in the directory with the system files. To change:
- Close Tekla.
- Navigate to the C:\Program Files\Tekla Structures\<version>\messages folder, and open the file called dim_operation.ail in notepad.
Near the bottom is a section noted "dim_operation_dim_rd_mark_text", and in there is an entry for "enu" - this stands for the English language environment, and the default setting is "RD".

Change the value in the quotes to the desired text, or even remove the text, leaving just an empty pair of quotes.

Save the file, and when Tekla is restarted, the running dimensions will now display the desired text.
