Change of license type - End of sale of Standard, Flex, and Worldwide licenses

We have simplified our license offering, and for this reason we have changed the license type of subscription licenses for Tekla Products. Starting from from September 1, 2023, we sell only Named User licenses. We have ended the sale of Standard, Flex, and Worldwide licenses for new customers and for existing customers without active subscriptions.

This change applies to the following Tekla products:

• Tekla Structures
• Tekla Tedds
• Tekla Structural Designer
• Tekla Structural Design Suite

The Tekla Structures Named User license also includes Tekla Model Sharing and Trimble Connect Business Premium licenses.

The Named User license is personal and is restricted to a specific individual user through their Trimble Identity. A Named User license cannot be reassigned to another user. However, in the following special situations, reassignment is possible:

• If the license was assigned to the wrong user
• If the user to whom the license was assigned leaves the customer's company, or transfers to a different role at the customer's company for which access to the license is not needed
• If the customer assigned the license to an authorized third-party user, such as contractor or consultant, and the engagement of that third party or its authorized user with the customer ends
• When renewing the license

The Named User license type has no limitations on the country of use, so you can use it globally.

Existing customers who have active subscriptions can still purchase additional Standard, Flex, and Worldwide licenses until September 30, 2025 and renew existing subscriptions until December 31, 2025.

Starting from 2026, all subscription licenses are Named User licenses.
