Cannot open a drawing, requires numbering

Question:
I have a drawing that I cannot open. Tekla Structures requires me to number the model, but it just does not help. The drawing just asks me to number again. What is the problem?

Answer:
There are many reasons why numbering is not up to date:

Numbering series will overlap. For solving the overlapping problems in numbering, check the following articles:

Some parts inside an assembly or cast unit are not numbered
There are locked objects. For more information, check Set privileges, object locks, and drawing locks in Tekla Model Sharing
There are conceptual components in the model

Conceptual components

If your assembly or cast unit contains conceptual components, someone may have used another license type to model some components. In this case, you need to ensure that you modify all conceptual components to detailing components with a license type that allows converting the components to detailing components.

You can create conceptual components in the Tekla Structures Graphite configuration, and in the Engineering, Rebar Detailing, and Construction Modeling configurations.

You can edit conceptual components and convert them to detailing components in the Tekla Structures Diamond configuration, and in the Full, Primary, Steel Detailing, and Precast Concrete Detailing configurations.

You can show only conceptual components in the model with the following view settings:

In the Display dialog box, clear all In model check boxes and select all In components check boxes.
In the Object Group - View Filter dialog box, create the following filter: Component - Is conceptual - Equals - Yes

To detect the drawings that are asking for numbering, you can, for example, use a filter to find the parts and then use the Document manager to select and show only drawings containing parts currently selected in the model.
