Cannot delete or modify a part because of locked objects

Question:
I have a part that I cannot delete or modify. I get the message: "There are locked objects, see report. The operation could not be performed." However, the locked object report is empty, and the part locked attribute is set to No. How to solve the situation?

Answer:
There might be invisible points that are locked, and they prevent unlocking the main part.

1. Try to delete or modify the part. Then you get the locked object report, and Tekla Structures writes the ID of the problematic objects to the log file.

2. Open the log file: File > Logs > Session history log (or Tools > Display Log File > Session History in previous versions). There you see the rows for the problematic points, for example like this:

When there is a text "Id:" in the log file, it means that when you select the row in the log file, Tekla Structures also selects the corresponding object in the model. However, this does not work if you use the associated viewer (default application) for viewing the log file. So remember to check the option View with Tekla Structures log viewer under File > Logs (or clear the check mark in front of  Tools > Display Log File > With Associated Viewer in previous versions) before opening the log file.

3. Open the Steel or Concrete Beam Properties and then click the More button to access the user-defined attributes. With the Beam property pane, you can modify several object types like columns, slabs, plates, and even points.

4. Click the

   button twice to clear all check-boxes in the beam user-defined attributes dialog box.

5. Select the check box in front of the Locked attribute and set the value to No.

6. Now select the Object locked - Id: 10924550 row in the log file to select the point in the model and click Modify in the beam user-defined attibute dialog box.

7. Repeat for the other object locked rows.
