Case:
Bad access token: Signature has expired - Tekla Tedds is not able to run with Tekla Tedds online license
Symptoms:
The user's Tekla Online profile is linked to the users's organization and visible in Tekla Online Admin tool, and has the associated Tekla Tedds rights. Also - the license is free (not in use). However, on the attempt to run the Tekla Tedds product, the license manager tool opens - and indicates the error which is saying: " Bad access token: Signature has expired “. See snapshot below:

Also, customers who reported same issue were experiencing packets loss when they ping the followings:
- ping id.trimble.com
- ping aws.amazon.com

Solution / Workaround
The fastest troubleshooting step - and to workaround this - is to ask the user to connect his machine to external / different network that does not have firewall restrictions. After running the Tekla Tedds product, the user can avail using the option/setting that is available for Tekla Tedds ('keep license option'”).
When the user chose to keep the license reserved, then the internet connection is not required to run the software for the period of time (up to three days). We recommend you to take this option into use. The image below illustrates steps to take to enable this option: ('keep license option'”) - as steps listed below:
- Run Tekla Tedds, and have the project created or opened.
- While Tekla Tedds is running – Open the license manager tool
- Choose Settings category
- Choose User Settings option
- Choose Tekla Tedds product from the products list.
- From the drop down menu, choose the option as “Yes”, so that the user can reserve the online license on the device even if the internet connection is disconnected.
- Apply the changes and press OK.
- Disconnect from internet, and see if the Tekla Tedds is able to run without issues.

Note the following:
- For as long as you keep the license on your device, or until the maximum period of 3 days has expired, other users in your Organization will not be able to consume the same license.
- To stop your license from being reserved on your device repeat the above steps but at Step 3 change the setting to No.

NEXT, the IT personnel of the company need to ensure that the following domains have been allowed in firewall so that the user will be able to run the Tekla Tedds product using the Tekla Tedds online license – while the user is connected to the the company’s network.
