Arrange drawing views does not work in multidrawing

Question:
When I try to use the command Arrange drawing views in a multidrawing, it does not work. What is the problem?

Answer:
If you don't see the command Arrange drawing views command in the popup menu, make sure that you do not have anything selected or any other command running.

If the command is not affecting anything, the reason is probably that the linked single-part and assembly drawings have fixed views, meaning the Place property is set to Fixed in drawing view properties. If you change the property to Free in the linked drawings, then the views can be arranged.
