Question:
When I export my model to IFC format, a part of the model is not exported.
What is the reason for this?
 
Answer:
Check the following after creating an IFC export:

  • The following message in the out.ifc.log file:
    "PartId [the part ID], Info: User rejected"
    means that the non-exported parts have the following setting in their part User-defined attributes dialog box, IFC export tab: the IFC entity is set to None. Change this to Auto, for example.
  • Check that the parts have known profiles.
  • To export the bolts as well, select the Select objects in components selection switch before selecting the parts for export.
