How to move an open window with the Keyboard

This article will show you how to move a Window/Program using your keyboard. It is especially useful when you cannot access the top of the window which allows you to drag it to a new location.

Method #1

Note. Method #1 will not work with a maximised window.
  1. Alt-Tab or click on the window (if visible) to make it the active window/program.
  2. Press Alt + Space.
  3. Press M.
  4. Use your arrow keys to move the window.
  5. Press Enter to exit.

Method #2

Note. Method #2 will move your window to the right or left half of the screen in the same manner as dragging a window to the right or left of the screen will.
  1. Press the Windows key and Right or Left Arrow.

Method #3

Note. Method #3 will move your window one display to the right or left.
  1. Press the Windows key and Shift and Right or Left Arrow
